This bill amends existing Wyoming law to adjust the timeline for authorizers, which are entities responsible for approving and overseeing charter schools, to review applications for new charter schools. Specifically, it changes the timeframe within which an authorizer must hold a public hearing after receiving a complete application from a maximum of sixty days to simply stating that a hearing will be held after receiving a complete application, and it extends the total period an authorizer has to approve or deny a charter school application from ninety days to one hundred twenty days after receiving the complete application.
