Additionally, it allows for specific periods of mixed-age group time in child care centers, up to 2.5 hours daily or 4 hours if 90 minutes are dedicated to staff breaks, while maintaining the staff-to-child ratio and group size for the youngest children. Furthermore, the bill waives the requirement for new child care providers to complete a department-provided orientation if they have completed it within the last five years, the content hasn't substantially changed, and they haven't had a break in service.
