The bill amends existing law (RCW 28A.230.050) to clarify that while physical education is important, individual students can be excused under specific circumstances, and it also updates a section (RCW 28A.210.365) to state that any waiver or exemption policy for high school students should acknowledge their academic interests while still considering health and fitness.
