This bill repeals two parts of Florida Statutes, Chapter 760, which deal with minority representation on boards, commissions, councils, and committees (specifically section 760.80) and the Center for Environmental Equity and Justice (specifically section 760.854). It also amends a provision in section 1001.216 of Florida Statutes, which establishes the Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys, by removing a reference to the definition of an African American that was previously found in the repealed section 760.80(2)(a), thus conforming this section to the changes made by the act. The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
