This bill requires the Department of Revenue to create and maintain interactive mapping features on its official website to display property tax information, in addition to existing sales and use tax information. These features will show the current tax rates and levies for various political subdivisions, such as school districts and fire protection districts, on separate maps, with the base layer color-coded by taxation rates. Political subdivisions that collect property taxes will need to provide the Department of Revenue with geographic data of their borders and jurisdictions by January 1, 2027, and the department will update this information annually using the Missouri state auditor's report on property tax rates. The bill also mandates that links to these new property tax mapping features be prominently displayed on the department's homepage, alongside the existing sales and use tax mapping features.
