It also establishes a new "Victims of Domestic Violence Fund," which will receive ten dollars from the increased surcharge, and this fund will be used to administer services for victims of domestic violence, with provisions for investment and the retention of unexpended funds. Importantly, victims of domestic violence can receive compensation from either the general Crime Victims' Compensation Fund or the new Victims of Domestic Violence Fund, but not from both for the same incident.
