This concurrent resolution, passed by both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Senate, directs them to convene in a joint session on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. in the Hall of the House of Representatives. The purpose of this joint session is to receive a message from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Honorable W. Brent Powell. To facilitate this, a committee of ten representatives appointed by the Speaker and a committee of ten senators appointed by the President Pro Tempore will be formed to inform the Chief Justice that the General Assembly is organized and ready for business and to receive his message. The resolution also instructs the Chief Clerk of the House to notify the Senate of its adoption.
