This concurrent resolution expresses support for actions to end motorcycle profiling, which is defined as the illegal use of a person's motorcycle riding or wearing motorcycle-related apparel as a basis for stopping, questioning, taking enforcement action against, arresting, or searching them, even without a constitutional legal basis. The resolution acknowledges the increasing number of motorcycle riders and widespread complaints about profiling across all fifty states, as well as protests held to combat it. Therefore, the resolution calls for increased public awareness, encourages collaboration between law enforcement and the motorcycle community to end profiling, and urges law enforcement officials to include statements condemning motorcycle profiling in their official policies and training materials. Finally, it instructs the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives to send inscribed copies of this resolution to every law enforcement agency in Missouri.
