This concurrent resolution congratulates Shen Yun Performing Arts on its 20th anniversary, recognizing its mission to revive and share traditional Chinese culture through classical dance and music. The resolution highlights Shen Yun's growth into multiple touring companies that perform in over 200 cities annually, including in Missouri, and acknowledges that their performances showcase virtues like faith, integrity, kindness, courage, and resilience, which are seen as lost under communist rule in China. It also notes that Shen Yun's artistic inspiration comes from Falun Dafa, a spiritual discipline rooted in traditional Chinese culture, and that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has suppressed Falun Dafa and engaged in transnational repression against Shen Yun, including bomb threats and disinformation campaigns, as documented in a Congressional Executive Commission on China report. Despite these challenges, the resolution commends Shen Yun artists for their continued dedication and humanitarian efforts, and instructs the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for Shen Yun.
