This bill amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois to require the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), in collaboration with the Illinois Arts Council, to conduct statewide studies on the economic, educational, and social effects of Illinois' museums and cultural attractions. These studies will establish benchmarks for future state investment by measuring tourism revenue, employment, educational achievements, and community advantages derived from these institutions, with the first study due by July 1, 2027, and subsequent studies every five years thereafter.
