She further advanced the field by founding the Tennessee Alliance of Recovery Residences in 2008 and playing a key role in the evolution of the Association of Halfway House Alcoholism Programs into the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), a national standard-setting body. Her work, which championed ethical standards and trauma-informed practices, has been recognized by national organizations and earned her numerous accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and she is remembered for her tireless advocacy, deep understanding, and compassionate spirit, leaving behind a legacy of healing and opportunity for countless individuals.
