This bill extends the Tennessee Child Fatality Prevention Team, an entity responsible for reviewing child deaths to identify trends and recommend improvements in child protection, until June 30, 2031, by amending Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) sections related to state government and child abuse prevention. Specifically, it removes a reference to the team from a list of agencies subject to termination in TCA 4-29-247(a) and adds it to a list of agencies that are continued in TCA 4-29-252(a), ensuring its ongoing operation and the continuation of its vital work in safeguarding children.
