This bill amends South Dakota law to discontinue the issuance of new Class B electrician licenses. A Class B electrician is defined as a person who has the necessary qualifications, training, technical knowledge, and at least thirty-six months of experience in electrical work, and who is licensed under this chapter before July 1, 2026. The bill also makes minor clarifying changes to the definitions of "apprentice electrician" and "electrical contractor" by replacing "such" with "the" when referring to electrical work.
