This bill directs the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to create a "Florida Film Legacy" specialty license plate, which will feature specific colors and designs agreed upon with Feature Florida Partnerships, Inc., a nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The bill specifies that the word "Florida" will be at the top and "Film Legacy" at the bottom of the plate. Importantly, all money collected from the annual use fees for these specialty plates will be given to Feature Florida Partnerships, Inc. This organization is then required to provide a financial report to the department each year by September 1st, detailing how these funds were used in the previous fiscal year. The act is set to become effective on October 1, 2026.
