It also mandates a storage facility location registry and updates provisions related to the Indiana fertilizer advisory board, civil penalties for violations, and the process for political subdivisions to petition for local ordinances regarding fertilizer storage or use. Furthermore, the bill clarifies rules for fertilizer application plans, applicator certification, and the use of fertilizer materials, particularly for agricultural crops, and introduces new chapters for distributors and users of fertilizer material, and for storage and containment regulations.
