This bill appropriates $4,000,000 from the State General Fund to the Department of Employment Security for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, to fund the Individual Training Account Workforce Reinforcement Assistance Program. This program, established in Section 37-153-223, is directed by the Office of Workforce Development and aims to provide education and training to individuals seeking employment in high-wage, high-demand industries that have documented workforce shortages, as prioritized by the office. The funds will be disbursed by the State Treasurer upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer, who will act on requisitions signed by the appropriate officials. The act will become effective on July 1, 2026.
