Additionally, social services districts will collect data on families who applied for child care assistance, categorizing them by whether they were denied due to ineligibility, placed on a waitlist, or received assistance, and for each category, they will record family size, income (where available), and child's age (where available). This collected data will be reported annually to the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), which will then post this information on its website. The bill also clarifies that these requirements do not apply to applications made before the bill's effective date.
