This bill appropriates $200,000 from the State General Fund to fire departments in Supervisors District 4 of Winston County, Mississippi, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, to help cover costs for purchasing new equipment for fire trucks, improving training facilities, acquiring additional thermal imaging cameras, and replacing outdated equipment. The funds will be distributed equally, with each of the four designated fire departments—Betheden Volunteer Fire Department, East Winston Volunteer Fire Department, High Point Volunteer Fire Department, and Louisville Fire Department—receiving $50,000. The State Treasurer will disburse the money upon proper authorization, and the act will become effective on July 1, 2026.
