This bill authorizes the State of Mississippi to issue up to $2,000,000 in state general obligation bonds to help Noxubee County fund the development of a 100-acre multi-industrial site, covering costs like preparing the land, installing utilities, building access roads, and ensuring environmental compliance. The State Bond Commission, referred to as the "Commission," will manage the issuance and sale of these bonds, which are backed by the full faith and credit of the state. Proceeds from the bond sales will go into a dedicated fund called the "2026 Noxubee County Multi-Industrial Site Project Fund," and any remaining money after the site development is complete will be used to pay off the bonds. The bill specifies that no bonds can be issued under this act after July 1, 2030, and it will take effect on July 1, 2026.
