This bill amends existing law to require case managers, who are employees of the Department of Health and Human Services responsible for overseeing the care of children and families, to refer families with a child two years old or younger for evidence-based home visitation services, as outlined in the Family Home Visitation Act, and to refer families with a child three years old or younger to early intervention services, as defined by a specific section of law. The bill also eliminates a provision that previously addressed the applicability of the Family Home Visitation Act and repeals two sections of existing law related to these matters.
