This bill, known as the "In-Person Early Voting Act," establishes a new period for voters to cast their ballots in person before an election. The early voting period will begin on the Monday one week before any primary, general, runoff, special, or municipal election and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. on the Monday immediately preceding election day. During this time, voters can cast their ballots at the registrar's office during regular business hours, including from 8:00 a.m. to noon on the Saturday of that week. Notice of these early voting hours must be posted in three public places at least eight days before the early voting period begins.
