This bill makes several changes to Kentucky's barbering laws. It adds the executive director of the Kentucky Board of Barbering as a nonvoting member of the board, and changes the title of "administrator" to "executive director." The bill also removes requirements for applicants to be of "good moral character and temperate habit" and reduces the required out-of-state barber experience for licensure from three years to one year. Additionally, it lowers the total required hours of instruction at barber schools from 1,500 to 1,200 and allows for up to 10 hours of instruction per day, an increase from the previous limit of 8 hours.
