This bill amends Arizona state law to exempt veterans and members of the United States Military, the national guard, or reserve units in Arizona from paying admission fees to all state parks. This exemption extends to all passengers in the same personal vehicle for sites that charge per vehicle, or to the veteran and up to three additional people for sites that charge per person. To receive this exemption, the veteran must present their military identification card, driver's license with a veterans designation, or veterans administration identification card. This change is being made to Section 41-511.05 of the Arizona Revised Statutes, which outlines the powers of the Arizona State Parks Board, specifically regarding their ability to levy and collect fees for park use.
