This bill amends the Sports Arena Facility Financing Assistance Act to change limitations on state assistance, specifically by extending the duration of funding for sports complexes located in second-class cities or villages from five years to ten years, and also by increasing the maximum state assistance for large public stadiums from twenty-five million dollars to one hundred million dollars. The bill also clarifies that state assistance for large public stadiums will not be paid until after July 1, 2027, and removes a previous restriction that prevented cities of the primary class from receiving assistance under this act if they had already received a grant from the Civic and Community Center Financing Act for the same project.
