This bill amends the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation Act by increasing various licensing fees collected by the board to cover the costs of administering, operating, maintaining, and enforcing the act. Specifically, the fees for a motor vehicle dealer's license, supplemental motor vehicle dealer's license, dealer's agent license, motor vehicle, motorcycle, or trailer manufacturer's license, distributor's license, factory representative's license, distributor representative's license, finance company's license, wrecker or salvage dealer's license, factory branch license, motorcycle dealer's license, motor vehicle auction dealer's license, and trailer dealer's license are all being raised. Additionally, the fee for a motor vehicle dealer changing their location within the same city limits or county is increased, as is the fee for a licensee changing their name without a change in ownership. The bill also repeals the original section of the law that established the previous fee structure.
