This bill amends Florida Statutes Section 760.11, which outlines administrative and civil remedies for human relations violations, by removing the requirement that the Florida Commission on Human Relations, or FCHR, must send certain information, specifically copies of complaints and notifications of reasonable cause determinations, to individuals involved in a case by registered mail. The FCHR is responsible for investigating complaints of discrimination under the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992. The bill also makes technical changes to the wording of the statute, replacing "of" with "after" in several instances and changing "shall" to "must" to reflect current legislative drafting conventions, and it will take effect on July 1, 2026.
