It also permits these districts to petition the superintendent of public instruction to permanently transfer money from their transportation vehicle fund to another school fund, or to convert a temporary loan from this fund into a permanent transfer, as long as these actions do not negatively impact the original purpose of the transportation vehicle fund. The bill clarifies that the superintendent of public instruction can only approve such transfers if they are not detrimental to the fund's established functions or projects.
