This bill amends Florida Statutes section 474.217 to revise the requirements for veterinarians to obtain a license by endorsement, which is a process allowing a veterinarian licensed in another state to practice in Florida without taking the full Florida licensing exam again. Specifically, the bill removes the requirement that an applicant must have held an active license in another state for the three years immediately preceding their application, and instead requires that the applicant hold a valid, active license in good standing in another state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory, provided they have passed an examination equivalent to or more stringent than Florida's. The bill also specifies an effective date of July 1, 2026.
