This bill revises the rules for disqualifying participants from Maryland's service animal programs for children, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, clarifying that a nonprofit training entity can remove a participant if their involvement poses a "direct threat" to others, as defined by the federal Americans with Disabilities Act, or to the well-being of the service animal or therapy horse, or if they fail to meet training requirements.
