This bill authorizes the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Music Therapists to issue a "limited license" to practice music therapy. A limited license is a temporary permit that allows an individual to practice music therapy while they are still working to meet all the requirements for a full license, such as passing an examination. The purpose of this limited license is to enable individuals to gain practical experience under the guidance of a fully licensed music therapist, who is an individual licensed by the Board to practice music therapy. This limited license is valid for one year and can be renewed once for an additional year, but if the individual does not obtain a full license within two years, they must wait a year before applying for another limited license.
