This bill modifies campaign finance reporting deadlines and the distribution schedule for the Fair Campaign Financing Fund. Campaign finance entities, which are organizations involved in political campaigns, will now have their reports due on the fourth Wednesday in January instead of the third, and the reporting period for this specific January report will now end 14 days before the due date, rather than seven days before. Additionally, the earliest date the State Board of Elections can begin distributing funds from the Fair Campaign Financing Fund, which is a pool of money intended to support campaigns, will be moved from July 1 of the election year to July 1 of the year *before* the election.
