This bill amends Alaska law to increase the occupational disability benefits for certain public safety employees. The bill also clarifies that a "court services officer" is an individual assigned by the commissioner of public safety to perform duties such as serving warrants, providing court security, and transporting prisoners. Additionally, it makes changes related to vesting and employer contributions for these disabled employees, ensuring that employers continue to make contributions on behalf of the disabled employee without reducing their disability payments, and that the disabled employee becomes fully vested in employer contributions upon appointment to disability. This Act takes effect immediately.
