This concurrent resolution establishes the "State of Missouri Seal of Civic Recognition" program to honor graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to civic education and engagement. The program allows nominations from various civic and veteran organizations, businesses, individuals, and schools for students who have completed specific academic instruction in areas like history and governance, actively participated in school and community civic activities, engaged in mentorship programs, joined a "Seal of Civic Recognition Club," and committed to at least one year of community or military service after graduation. Based on the duration of their academic instruction, students can earn a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Seal, which will be noted on their diplomas. The resolution also encourages nominating entities to provide support for recipients' future vocational or professional development through scholarships, internships, or other incentives, and offers a special letter of commendation from state leaders to those who commit to military service.
