AI Summary
This bill declares that any contract or agreement, including those for partnership, employment, or any other professional relationship, with a healthcare provider licensed in Mississippi that restricts their ability to practice their profession in any geographic area or for any period of time after the relationship ends, will be void and unenforceable regarding that specific restriction, though other parts of the contract will remain valid. The bill defines "healthcare" as any service related to maintaining or diagnosing a person's physical or mental condition, and "healthcare provider" as anyone licensed or authorized by Mississippi law to provide such care. This new rule will apply to all such contracts entered into or renewed on or after July 1, 2026.
