AI Summary
This bill expands protections against sexual abuse and clarifies existing laws by prohibiting sexual abuse of individuals under probation or participating in problem-solving courts, and by extending these prohibitions to conservators, guardians, guardians ad litem, and child welfare service providers, with specific penalties outlined for these offenses. It also grants immunity to probation employees for administering naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medication, when acting in good faith, and revises the definition of incest to include sexual contact or penetration with a stepchild or adopted/foster child, regardless of age, and also includes sexual contact or penetration with an adopted or foster child. Furthermore, the bill ensures that individuals convicted of these newly defined sexual abuse offenses, as well as those involving conservators, guardians, or child welfare providers, will be required to register under the Sex Offender Registration Act, and it updates various statutes to reflect these changes, including provisions related to evidence admissibility, victim notification, and eligibility for certain programs.
