This bill relates to level II law enforcement academy training programs. The bill provides that an individual who submits an application for attendance at an approved level II academy training program shall, at a minimum, submit proof of successful completion of a two-year or four-year police science or criminal justice program at an accredited educational institution approved by the academy, and meet the qualifications set forth in Code section 80B.11H(1) (for military veterans with active duty military police experience) or Code section 80B.11H(3) (for federal law enforcement officers).
