This bill amends existing Oklahoma law regarding alcoholic beverage licenses, specifically concerning package stores. It allows limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships to hold retail spirits licenses in counties with a population of 70,000 or more, and permits existing retail spirits licensees organized as limited partnerships to convert to a limited liability partnership without reapplying for a license, provided they notify the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission within 90 days. The bill also mandates that all partners in such partnerships must be natural persons and that any changes to the partnership must be disclosed to the Commission within five business days. Importantly, it clarifies that this provision does not permit a limited partnership or limited liability partnership holding a retail spirits license to be owned by a corporation, limited liability company, or other partnership, and reiterates that no person can hold an interest in more than one package store.
