This bill modifies existing law regarding administrative fines for game and fish violations, specifically concerning how and when these fines can be paid. Previously, individuals arrested for violating rules set by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission could pay an administrative fine instead of posting a bond, which was half the amount of the current bond schedule. This bill adds that these administrative fines can now be paid either in person or online, and importantly, it gives the person who received the citation seven days from the date of their arrest to make this payment. The fines collected will go to the Department of Wildlife Conservation to support wildlife and habitat conservation efforts, and this change will take effect on November 1, 2026.
