This joint resolution honors the memory of Donald Leon Rush, Sr., of Harrison, a beloved friend and neighbor who served his country in the United States Air Force and dedicated many years to the Chattanooga Fire Department. The resolution highlights his passions for cooking, hunting, fishing, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers, as well as his strong faith and devotion to his family. It acknowledges his kindness, wisdom, and the positive impact he had on those around him, extending sympathy to his surviving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and other family and friends. The General Assembly, consisting of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, expresses its deep respect for his life and legacy.
