This bill amends the composition of the Advisory Board on Behavior Analysis, which helps the Board of Medicine regulate licensed behavior analysts and licensed assistant behavior analysts. Currently, the board requires two licensed behavior analysts and one licensed assistant behavior analyst, all with at least three years of practice, to be members. This bill changes the requirement to have three members who are either licensed behavior analysts or licensed assistant behavior analysts, with each having at least three years of practice, while also allowing licensed assistant behavior analysts to fill one of these three positions, which was previously a separate requirement. The bill also maintains the existing requirement for a physician familiar with behavior analysis and a consumer of applied behavior analysis to serve on the board.
