This bill amends Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) to include tallow-based cosmetic products within the regulations for home-based processors. Specifically, it modifies KRS 217.015 to add "tallow-based cosmetic products" to the definition of a "home-based processor," which refers to individuals who produce certain goods in their homes with an annual gross income under $60,000. It also amends KRS 217.136 to allow these registered home-based processors to produce tallow-based cosmetic products, provided they meet the registration and regulatory requirements set by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. This means that the existing rules for home-based food processors, including labeling and potential inspections, will now also apply to those making tallow-based cosmetics.
