This joint resolution calls for a joint session of the Georgia House of Representatives and the Senate to be held on January 15, 2026, at 10:45 A.M. in the House chamber, for the specific purpose of hearing a message from Governor Brian Kemp, who is invited to address the assembly at 11:00 A.M. The resolution also extends an invitation to the Justices of the Supreme Court and the Judges of the Court of Appeals to attend this joint session, and it directs the Clerk of the House to formally notify the Governor, the Supreme Court Justices, and the Court of Appeals Judges of this resolution. Additionally, a committee of fourteen members, seven appointed by the Speaker of the House and seven by the President of the Senate, will be formed to escort the Governor to the chamber.
