This bill creates a special license plate featuring the "Dayton Dragons," a professional baseball team. It amends existing law to establish a new section, 4503.861, which outlines the process for obtaining these plates. Vehicle owners can apply for "Dayton Dragons" license plates for passenger cars, noncommercial vehicles, and recreational vehicles. In addition to standard registration fees and taxes, applicants will pay an additional $10 administrative fee, which goes to the public safety - highway purposes fund, and a $25 contribution. This $25 contribution will be deposited into the license plate contribution fund, as established in section 4501.21 of the Revised Code, and then distributed to the Dayton Dragons Foundation program. The license plates will display an appropriate logo and words selected by the Dayton Dragons and approved by the registrar of motor vehicles.
