Bill Summary

This bill strikes the requirement that any county or city vehicle which operates on ethanol blended gasoline be affixed with a sticker. Under current law, motor vehicles purchased or used by counties or cities to provide county or city services shall not operate on gasoline other than ethanol blended gasoline. These vehicles shall also be affixed with a brightly visible sticker which notifies the traveling public that the motor vehicle is being operated on ethanol blended gasoline. The sticker is not required on an unmarked vehicle used for the purposes of providing law enforcement or security.

AI Summary

This bill removes the requirement for county and city vehicles that use ethanol-blended gasoline to display a sticker informing the public about their fuel type. Ethanol-blended gasoline is a mixture of gasoline and ethanol, a type of alcohol often derived from plants, and the bill specifies that county and city vehicles used for providing services must use this type of fuel. Previously, these vehicles, with the exception of unmarked law enforcement or security vehicles, were mandated to have a visible sticker indicating their use of ethanol-blended gasoline.
