This bill establishes a new program within the Department of Veterans Services to improve awareness and access to benefits for military service members transitioning to civilian life, veterans, members of the Virginia National Guard, and residents of the Commonwealth serving in the Armed Forces Reserves, as well as their families. The program aims to ensure these individuals can easily find and utilize federal, state, and local benefits, along with other available programs and services. The outcomes of this outreach program, including specific initiatives and their results, will be reported annually to the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs, the Governor, and the General Assembly.
