This bill amends the Prevailing Wage Act, which sets standards for wages on public works projects, by expanding the definition of "public works" to include services related to Illinois lottery machines and equipment. This means that workers performing these services will be subject to the prevailing wage requirements, which are the general prevailing rates of hourly wages and fringe benefits paid to laborers and mechanics in the locality where the work is performed. This change will take effect on January 1, 2027.
