This bill amends Virginia law to allow certain farm vehicles to use green warning lights. Specifically, vehicles that display a permanent farm use placard, as well as farm vehicles, farm tractors, and farm utility vehicles, will be permitted to be equipped with and use green warning lights, provided these lights are approved by the Superintendent and are only activated while the vehicle is operating on or along a highway. This expands the existing provisions that already allow police, firefighting, and emergency medical services vehicles to use green warning lights as command centers at incident scenes, with the restriction that those lights cannot be activated while the vehicle is in motion on the highway.
