This bill appropriates $760,000 from the State General Fund, which is the state's main operating fund, to the Town of Pickens, Mississippi, for infrastructure projects during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. Specifically, $300,000 is allocated for roadway resurfacing and repairs, as well as sewer pipe repairs in the Union Street area; another $300,000 is designated for acquiring new water pumps and improving water systems, including a booster station on State Highway 17; $60,000 will go towards renovating and repairing the old city hall on Yazoo Street; and $100,000 is set aside for renovating, repairing, improving, and equipping a city park. The funds will be disbursed by the State Treasurer upon proper authorization.
