Furthermore, it establishes procedures for redeeming impounded vehicles, requiring the owner or their representative to present a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle ownership documents, and to pay all towing, storage, and administrative fees, with similar procedures for lienholders. Finally, the bill prohibits counties and municipalities from funding the procurement of driver's licenses or identification cards and restricts the issuance of local identification cards unless the applicant provides the same level of proof of identification required for driver's licenses.
