This resolution congratulates the Mu Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., an alumni chapter chartered in 1975, on the 22nd anniversary of its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship initiative. The resolution highlights the chapter's 22-year dedication to uplifting young people, particularly through this scholarship program which has mentored over 150 young men from the Rockford region and awarded more than $325,000 in scholarships to support young men of color pursuing higher education, thereby contributing to the success and prosperity of the State of Illinois.
